Skullduggery By The Sea

The Easton Cowboys & Cowgirls are pleased top announce that they will be staging a 20th anniversary tournament on August Bank Holiday Weekend (the weekend of the 25th/26th) 2012 in the sea side town of Berrow in Somerset.

***The details below are provisional and may change at any time.

Men’s 11-a-side football – 20 teams
Women’s 7-a-side football
20/20 Cricket – about 5 teams including a World XI (turn-up and play)
Netball – Women’s and Mixed
Kids’ Sport

Thursday 23rd August

12noon onwards: Arrival

9.30pm: Pendelis

10-11pm: Tournament sports draw and welcome to Skullduggery

11-11.45pm: Spanner

12pm: Peng Sound DJs (cocktail bar/main tent)

Friday 24th August

All Day: Kids activities (nr. Sports Field) & Cinema (Family Camping)

10 am: Cricket and Football First Toss (Sports Fields)

12noon: Netball Starts

6pm: Discussion – Football Against The Wall in Palestine (Mutiny Tent) includes screening of ‘Over the Wall’ a record of the Cows second trip to Palestine in 2010.

9pm: Nightjars

10.00pm: Ego Vs Emo

11.15pm: John E Vistic

12.15am: Cowboys/Yard DJs party mash-up (cocktail bar/main tent)

Saturday 25th August

All Day: Kids activities (nr. Sports Field) & Cinema (Family Camping)

10 am: Cricket and Football First Toss (Sports Fields)

12noon: Netball Starts

5pm: Kids Disco with DJ Pallett bring fancy dress & sparkle (cocktail bar)

6pm: Discussion – Shhhhh! Homophobia and Football (Mutiny Tent)

8pm: Plucky Purcell

9pm: Talent show ‘Friggin in the riggin’

12am-2am: DJ Skitz

12am-2am: Wild Wax bros in the cocktail bar

Sunday 26th August

All Day: Kids activities (nr. Sports Field) & Cinema (Family Camping)

10 am: Cricket and Football First Toss (Sports Fields)

12noon: Netball Starts

6pm: Discussion – The international response to the Far Right (Mutiny Tent)

8.30pm: Tournament trophies ceremony + raffle draw

10pm: Muff Said

11.15pm: London Calling

12.00am: Clarence and Blue (cocktail bar/main tent)

Monday 27th August

You can all go home now.

CACKK

So far we have planned….

  • activities with a skullduggery piratey theme
  • dedicated camping area for families
  • footie tournament (for younger and older kids)
  • games – netball shooting, its a knockout, table football
  • flag making, mural painting and arty crafty stuff
  • dance workshops
  • treasure hunt
  • soft play area for younger kids (CACKK in nappies)

The Rules

  1. No Dogs – both the sports field and site owner have asked for us to respect their request.
  2. No Fires – there will be a fire pit for all to use.
  3. No Urinating into Streams and/or Hedges. Be brave and use the loos provided as the local water table is high enough already. Thanks
  4. No Vehicles in the campsite. Campervan area for those with vans. Please keep all cars in the car park – camping is very close!
  5. Please be very careful when crossing between the two sites, although not a main road it is used frequently. Parents please keep your kids with you at all times when crossing. Stewards will be there to help.
  6. The sports field will be closed in the evening. Please stay on the main site only after dark.
  7. The main site has a Caravan park and the Farmhouse and Stables in very close proximity. They are not for our use – please keep out!
  8. We have plenty of recycling points across both sites for all of your rubbish.  No excuses people. Leave No Trace.
  9. There is a kids area for all family camping and CACKK activities – all families welcome – look out for the Giant Bear. Please camp away from CACKK area if you are from FC Vova or have similar night time habits. 😉
  10. Suggested camping donation of £5 per person whether for one night or four. Feel free to pester our donation buckets whenever you want.

Stewarding Superstarz needed!!!! Skulduggery meeters and greeters are required on the gate at Berrow on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. This is to direct traffic, give site advice and sell programs.
